Sending Mother's Day Wishes

Todays card is based around the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches...


I started with the daisy border from Stamplorations inked in hickory smoke Distress Oxide.

I used an ombre effect with mustard seed and carved pumpkin to the 'Sending' die cut to compliment the butterfly.

The rest of the sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.


The butterfly is from Butterfly Trio by Penny Black and I've stamped it onto vellum and heat embossed with black detail embossing powder.

On the reverse and on the front I've gently blended shades of yellow, orange and red Prisma pencils and used a small amount of red liner tape just under the fat part of his body to adhere to the card.

One down, one more to go.

    I am just intrigued with the way you created this vividly colored butterfly with the soft grey image to ground it, and then added matching color to the sentiment! Wow! What a fantastic look for a great Mother's Day Card! Look at you getting your mothers day cards done already!
