Every superhero has to have a little pop art...
Firstly I hand drew the pop art star burst onto copier paper and cut around the lines with a knife and ruler to tidy it up.
Then with the newly cut mask I used blueprint sketch Distress Oxide and Altenew halftone squares to stamp the fun Roy Lichtenstein effect of faded dots (psst, that bit took 3 attempts... shhh!).
There are missed bits and slight overlapping but it adds to the effect and to make it pop (pun intended) even further I outlined the star with a black Sharpie.
Next I cut the 'happy' die twice, once from white inked in mustard seed Distress Oxide and once from black cardstock for the drop shadow.
I played about having it sitting straight or wonky, my inner perfectionist was howling at me to put it straight and use the ruler but I resisted that urge and instead put the Father's Day sentiment straight.
The caped crusader is from Clearly Besotted as is the little 'you're super' speech bubble.
