A fun birthday card made especially for my father-in-law who I haven't been able to see for over a year as he's in my brother-in-laws bubble and my parents are in ours.
He's been coloured using Prisma pencils and he looks awesome with his Elvis quiff lol.
I thought the donkey would be saying all these quotes having discovered someones age and it leads nicely to the inside which reads... you're as old as dirt :)
Darn Tootin' just look at that toothy grin and I definitely didn't want him sporting pearly whites so they've been grubbied up a bit to add to his character.
The star was cut using a Spellbinders die to create a stencil and I used Distress Oxides in Mowed Lawn and Old Paper finished with black and white paint splatters and pencil detail.

I absolutely love the cards you've made with this hilarious donkey! The way you placed the star behind him is pure genius! It's sure to bring smiles to the family member you haven't seen for so long and a good chuckle sure beats a frown! BTW, isn't your birthday coming up in a day or two? DeleteCracked me right up, Claire! We often tease my 91yo dad that he's as old as dirt! What a hoot! Your coloring, is as always, amazing. Whenever I use colored pencils, it looks like a two did it! I'm very impressed with your talent. I've been in my own bubble for nearly a year now, but this past Wednesday I got my first Covid shot! In about six weeks, I can finally see some of my family, for which I am extremely grateful! I still plan to stay safe until this virus peters out. Sending hugs. xo Bev
