I was intrigued by The Rainbow Cards smoky slate challenge this month and an idea just clicked so I ran with it...
The set is Witch Way to the Candy from MFT and required a fair bit of masking starting with the frog and working down.
As the frog looks a little worried I thought I'd have the bat swooping in rather than actually perched on top.
It made me laugh at all the horrifying things the frog might be thinking will happen with the incoming bat, highlighted by the fact the bat looks hilariously naughty.
I masked off the area and applied hickory smoke Distress Oxide over the masked and already coloured images then spritzed with water, not too obvious from the photo.
Just for a bit of fun I added an orange bow to the cat and a sentiment from Monster Mash by Sugar Pea Designs.
*Disclaimer*
Googly eyes were considered over many days but I resisted the urge of my inner child!

ReplyDeleteI call this art. You've masked so precise, that I thought first, it is one stamp. All characters are perfectly colored and the background is stunning shadowed. I like the little touch of orange. :-)
