Gingerbread for CASology

Oh Yes... CASology Guest Designer again, happy days :)

The cue for this weeks challenge is Gingerbread, nice and festive to finish off those CAS Christmas cards.

I have an adorable gingerbread girl from PolkaDoodles, she's so pretty and perfect for the challenge albeit time consuming with the colouring.

As usual I've used my Prisma pencils in traditional Christmas colours.  I decided to use Kraft and splash on some white acrylic paint to add a feeling of snow and interest.

The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted and stamped onto black cardstock, white heat embossed and cut with a fishtail banner die.

Both the sentiment and the girl have been adhered using 3D foam and yes she was hand cut... no matching die.

To finally finish I added some Wink of Stella to the sweeties and her bow.

Thanks to Melissa for the opportunity of joining the ladies at CASology once more, I enjoy playing along and hope you will too  :)

  5. What an adorable gingerbread girl you have here! I love how you colored her, and the acrylic paint splatters look like snow falling around her - what a great look! Super cute and fun little card :)

  6. In answer to your question Claire, I just haven't had chance to read either of them. My friend has lent me "One Enchanted Evening" and a complimentary copy of his second one "Moonlight over Mayfair" was included in the price of the evening. It was part of a local Literary Festival Week, he was incredibly funny and based on the stories he told us about his life, and the people that inspired him, I expect the books to be very good indeed xx
