Hap-pea Birthday

The new Spring collection from Lawn Fawn has a set called Be Hap-pea and its so fun to play with, ya just can't help smiling.

I had a blast creating this card, I stamped all the elements on scraps of stamping card with light green ink and chose to do a no line colouring with Prisma pencils.  Having studied the peas on their arrival I'd already made my mind up which faces were going in the pod... the one in the glasses - so funny, I mean a pea wearing glasses is hilarious - right?

Everything was cut using the matching dies including the sentiment.  I played around with the placement before permanently sticking onto the grid background using hickory smoke distress oxide and a stencil from Altenew.

Just for an extra bit of fun, I added the speech bubble with 'YIP-PEA' inside.  This card was destined for a family member but I adore these little peas and I'm not sure I can part with it just yet lol.

  6. Totally adorable card Claire! I roared with laughter at a pea wearing glasses - I guess it stops him from having to keep pee-ring at the newspaper when he settles down to read it! Such a cute set. And I adore the background - seeing this idea quite a bit in blogland and can't wait to get stenciling, it really adds something so special.

  15. This is cute and funny and I suspect, quite trendy. I've noticed a lot of pea designs lately - my valentine's card from my partner (which he bought from a shop!) had peas on it . Maybe peas are the new flamingoes!
