ROAR!

I'm ashamed to say that these Basic Grey Dino stamps from the Archaic range that were purchased on release date probably some ten years ago have never been opened, let alone used until this week - shocking but I feel I might not be alone in that crafting crime!

I used them to create my father-in-laws Father's Day card, I don't really own many stamps/dies that can be used for masculine cards so I dragged out these to see what I could come up with.  When I sat down to craft, I had absolutely no idea where to begin with these dinosaurs but I did remember I had off-cuts of the matching paper range and thankfully it came together quite well, I think.

All of the off-cuts have been inked to within an inch of their lives and I incorporated some embossed cogs just because I wanted too.  The leaves were purposely cut out of green cardstock to make them pop and give a jungle feel, not sure dinosaurs roamed in the jungle but you get the feel :) - I added little dino tracks to the frame for a bit of fun.

A close up of the dinosaurs that were stamped in Distress Ink and then fussy cut out and you can see the little tracks.  Hopefully, my father-in-law won't think I'm secretly calling him a dinosaur, but he has a wonderful sense of humour so its all good :)

Supplies: Kraft cardstock, Basic Grey Archaic patterned papers & Dino stamps, Sizzix Garden Greens, Spellbinders frame and MB Hexagon dies, MM page fasteners, Distress Ink in Vintage Photo, Gold embossing powder and the sentiment was a font downloaded.
