Happy Mother's Day to those celebrating tomorrow, I made this card for my mom back in March... yeah where did those months go?
Heat embossed Altenew peonies in gold onto watercolour card and coloured using Zig Clean Color pens.
I drew a panel around the flowers and using the lightest of grey went over the pencil lines and used water just to pull the colour into the middle.
Stamped the sentiment from another Altenew set and splashed on some black paint splatters.
I used black cardstock as the mat to make the flowers stand out and added some Glossy Accents to represent water droplets.

ReplyDeleteThis is divine Claire...absolutely beautiful. Your painting of those peonies is really lovely and I thought the panel in the middle was raised up, such a clever idea to draw out the pencil for that bit of shading. Clever girl, bet your mum will treasure it. xx
