Hope Your Birthday is on Point

I've had this MFT Lets Stick Together stamp set for awhile waiting for inspiration to strike and Just Add Ink had the right image to play about with...

Firstly I masked and blended antique linen Distress Ink down the right-hand side then over stamped with a wood grain stamp using tea dye and vintage photo Distress Ink to create a background.

I stamped and masked a few prickly friends in pots (they come as separate stamps hence the masking) and coloured with my pencils.  I never buy matching dies because of the cost if I think I can fussy cut them myself and these were easy enough to do even with spikes.

To finish off the card I used one of the fun sentiments from the set, embossed in white onto black cardstock.   No idea who the card is for but these cacti just make you smile :)

  8. I can't fussy cut like that! It's a talent in itself. I don't buy the dies because I have a Silhouette but it's a bit of a procedure. Anyway, I love this design - lots of fun.
