I'd spotted the sketch over at CAS Colours & Sketches with two stars which sparked my inspiration. I'd already sneakily asked my son his favourite colour combination while we were discussing his Manga drawings so I was prepped and ready.
I die cut the star from cardstock and added a few white splatters to it for interest. I die cut the fiddly numbers from a Tim Holtz set... coloured using festive berries Distress Ink and a top coat of sparkle.
For contrast I added black splatters to the card base and die cut the star again allowing me to place the positive star back in to create a level finish on the card.
The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn and I had to do a bit of editing by using the word 'Dance' to get the 'an' in order for it to be grammatically correct. The awesome 'Awesome' is a die from Neat & Tangled layered up three times and then clear embossed to add shine... reminds me of liquorice laces and I loved how it turned out.
