On my return, I'd had chance to think about my card design which I decided to use Lawn Fawn Snow Days - cant think why!
Its a little scene featuring two bunnies proudly decorating their Christmas tree with a red bow. I inked and used a dots Cuttlebug embossing folder for the backdrop, die cut a snowy hill and then just coloured the furry friends with Copics and placed them in position. I added the sentiment in festive red and inked and die cut the little snowflakes before taking to the sewing machine for a simple straight(ish) stitch border.
This little card has been sitting on my coffee table for the last day and I'm not sure I can part with it - I can't be the only crafter who struggles to give certain cards away, am I?

These v are such adorable bunnies.. I loved the embossed snow fall you created.. beautiful texture to the round scene! Hugs, Ishani
ReplyDeleteAwww, such cute little bunnies getting ready for Christmas! This is adorable and I probably would have a difficult time parting with it too! :)
ReplyDeleteNice card and I like what you did with the embossing folder. I get to enjoy my own creations by putting them up on the windowsill of my craft room 'while they dry' - given that I make Christmas cards all year round, it might seem odd if someone happened to come into my craft room in summer!
ReplyDeleteI can see exactly why you wouldn't want to part with this gorgeous little card Claire, it's adorable!! It would be most welcome at AYLI...our theme is Animals this time xx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous and so cute too. Thanks for sharing it with us at Crafty Cardmakers and good luck with the challenge, Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteYour walk sounds like the perfect start to time in the craft room making Christmas cards, Claire! And this is such a cutie! I don't blame you for not wanting to part with it! You are definitely not alone. It's not so much that I don't want to part with a card, it's that I don't want to part with a favorite design before doing another one like it. Of course, I wouldn't have that problem if I would just remember to make more than one every time I make a card! Slap! Thank you for playing at CASology!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteThis is very cute and you've used some brilliant techniques. I love the dots. I stand favourites up on my shelf so I can admire them for a while before sending. So you are not alone. X
