Rainbows are a bit popular this month so I had a play using the colours but not the shape...
This sentiment was a ARGH moment 90 minute battle... would you believe I did it perfectly on copier paper first time, on a positive note I have lots of scraps of cardstock left over for my small images, pfft!
Everything is from a variety of MFT stamp sets, the sentiment was done colouring the stamp in rainbow shades of Zig Clean Color pens then spritzing with water and praying you don't get dozens of muddy/fuzzy/sparse yous!
The mouse has been masked off to include the balloons then coloured with Prisma pencils.
Normally I ground my images but I felt this fella needed to look like he was as light as the balloons.
The ladies at As You Like It would like to know what style we prefer, CAS or fully fancy... surprise, surprise I prefer CAS... can't do faff as I make it look naff :)

Such a pretty card and a clever use of your rainbow colours. I can imagine how frustrated you must have been Claire when your 'you' didn't work for you on your card yet it had on the copy paper. It turned out fab n the end...worth the 90 mins and the shouting no doubt!Fabulous colouring as always. xx
ReplyDeleteFabulous card, Claire. I love the rainbow effect, it was worth the battle. 😊 xx
ReplyDeleteThe rainbow "you " looks fabulous and well worth the effort Claire, you must have been so frustrated that your perfect trial on paper wasn't as easy on card.Love your adorable mouse.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you stayed with the rainbow look on the sentiment, because in spite of your troubles, it looks fabulous and I love how it turned out! It just tickles me to see all those colorful balloons taking that little mouse on a fun birthday float :) Adorable CAS card!
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine nothing more perfect as your use of the rainbow colours. The card is fabulous. It is obvious that you prefer CAS. :-) Thank you for the detailed report of colouring the stamp. Perhaps it was not safe to be near you at the time you've done it. :-)

ReplyDeleteHi Claire
ReplyDeleteA fabulous card!
Love your cute image and that wonderful rainbow lettering.
I often find first tries on copy paper invariably work out .. .. but come the "actual" performance .. .. things often don't go so smoothly!
Well done on sticking at it. The finished look is wonderful.
Hope all is well with you.
Love Jules xx
