I absolutely fell in love with these kitties and knew just the person who would squeal a bit if she had a card featuring this adorable pair... my Mom :)
I'd recently used my brick stencil and decided to create a wall to look as if everything had been left there at the end of the day. I masked off the bucket/flowers and used Distress Ink in antique linen and tea dye for a shadow effect.
I added the sentiment before I started to colour with my pencils.
I used, what I call traditional colours... like green wellies and a proper metal bucket. The kitty looked like he was reaching for something so I added a butterfly.
To finish I added a small grey line to ground the image/wall and used a bit of sparkle on the bucket.

ReplyDeleteI caught myself smiling when I saw this card. You really made me think of the end of a day gardening. Love the soft colors to enhance the boots and the kitties. Nice sentiment. I wonder what stamp this is. Thanks for joining the party at Seize the Birthday.
