Nice List

In all the years I've been crafting, I have never done a one layer card but decided to give it a go after seeing Stamping Sensations November challenge.  I usually like to throw a little more at my cards but I think it turned out OK-ish!

I used MFT Jingle Bells and coloured the stamped image with my limited Copics, added a few paint splatters in blue with some Stickles on Santa's hat and pompom.  As its a one layer challenge, I added a black line around with a fine marker to give an illusion of another layer.  I did debate about adding a couple of sequins in a nice Christmas red but I didn't know whether that was allowed so I aired on the side of caution.

  1. I really like this Claire - the stamp is lovely and you've coloured it wonderfully well! A great example of how one layer doesn't have to look flat. Thanks for sharing with us at Stamping Sensations.
(PS - I'd have added the sequins too.....!!!)

  2. Well done Claire on making such a fabulous one layer card. I think it does us all good to step out of our comfort zone every now and again. It may have been your first but I certainly hope that it won’t be your last. Thank you for sharing this with us at Stamping Sensations and good luck. Sandra x

  4. You rocked it. The layout is perfect and the splatters just lift it. One advantage is that they are easy to post, I often have a few that are only for hand delivery as they are too fat.

  6. Very stylish and very CAS. I always think that one layer should be exactly that with no added embellishments at all so to me this is a perfect OLC. Hugs Mrs A.
